I would have been quite confused if I had been the one conducting the interviews myself — the stories shared were truly overwhelming.

I’ve always tended to give high scores during interviews, which is why I chose to delegate the process.

From the feedback I’ve received, the panelists have done an excellent job. I only wish I had involved them from the very first giveaway two years ago.

Still, we move forward.

Tomorrow, August 31st, is the deadline for all submissions. After the deadline, we’ll move to the next stage.

We now have 4 laptops remaining, and we plan to announce the next winner on September 1st.

For the final selection, we’ll review the engagement across the campaign. I’ll select one of my posts at random and use @Grok by xAI to help identify the most active engagers on that post.

So if you’ve been supporting the campaign, make sure you’re engaging with my posts. Like, repost, comment, and follow the required rules.

The selected person will be contacted for an interview. If everything checks out and they genuinely need a laptop, we’ll proceed with the giveaway.

Today, I received an update that 3 additional people have been selected, in addition to the 8 who have already received laptops.

That brings the total to 11 laptops technically booked, with 4 remaining.

The interview process will close once the panel has identified everyone selected.

On 1 September 2026, we will announce 2 of the 3 outstanding winners.
