We're all tired of "trust me bro" AI benchmarks.
So, I built Brainfuck Arena, an open benchmark where AI models write a Tic-Tac-Toe AI in Brainfuck (a language with only 8 characters) and get graded from S+ to F.
Claude Opus 5.5 got an S, and it beat me.🧵
I disagree with @mattpocockuk that the code should be the source of truth when building with AI.
- The intent in our minds is the true source
- How we capture that in English is 2nd
- Code is an implementation, and it's actually 3rd
Writing is closer to thought than code.

‼️ Iran has detailed plans to hit undersea internet cables in the Gulf if the US and Israel attack it again, two senior security officials told Reuters.
One said Iran would try to block repairs to prolong outages.
"If Iran is attacked, there will be no more red lines," he said.
The next great "language for agents" should be:
- As fast as Rust
- As little design space as Go
- Have the strictest type/verification system ever written
Bend seems like an interesting first effort
❗️ A tourist lost their Apple Watch charger in China, bought another at an Apple Store, and the US watch refused it as a "country-specific charger".
Apple says Chinese wireless chargers sold there only charge local models.
They cost CN¥279, ~$42, and can't fast charge.
Don't worry, we're well far from not behind.
There are still a massive amount of ai haters out there living 5 years behind us.
Obviously this reddit post is bs explanation and reasoning here too.
lemme make this REALLY clear.
YOU DO NOT HARDCODE IPs in APPS. You use DNS.
It's so stupid people STILL have hardcoded IPs and use them in their apps.
DNS is easy to remember and easy to change.
