@Skinnytiedcpa@ok_post_guy@Billy_Ocean_ Good Q: It gets insanely complex quick. They don’t fully pay it back until they die, and then you can take advantage of loop holes as well BUT your assets have to keep appreciating & have large cushion & assets to work. @ok_post_guy@Billy_Ocean_ The reality is — bad example, but point is true, and every extremely rich person (or almost all) do it. You have stock or real estate and take loans out against it so you don’t have to take liquidate anything, and not pay tax. Legal? Yes. Stupid Law? Yes.
@Ac_3ka@PeterKots1@GTA6Intel Well this was said by them during their earnings call — you can go listen. And the other dates weren’t confirmed like this. And they were delayed prior to call to set investor expectations… so.
@aleexarosa@RvLAlmost@carmothy@MotorsportiveHQ Incorrect. That was the rules. That is F1. Everyone is seeing what they can get away with, and it was technically legal. Making this last minute change, it’s the first time I’m ever aware of it happening — also I hate Mercedes lol
@aleexarosa@RvLAlmost@carmothy@MotorsportiveHQ Your right, it was never gray. It was just the rule, it may not exceed the ratio, measured cool. That wasn’t their intent though, but they probably didn’t think anyone would be able to exploit it. It needed updated, but I think at this point its a little late
@reezi02 @RBR_Daily That supports my point. So let’s suppose no cost cap in first year of these new regs. Red Bull would have ran even further away, Ferrari/Mercedes would have still been behind, and there would be a massive gap between RB, then F/M, then others. It’s both combined
@reezi02 @RBR_Daily If your point is there’s only 2 or 3 really good teams, you’d be correct. But the cost cap has brought everyone up much closer, to be the closest the grid has ever been. Thats the point. And by getting rid of the cost cap, you make the competition further apart.
@reezi02 @RBR_Daily Then don’t have a cost cap — probably one of the worst takes imo.
That lets a few teams outspend everyone, have massive gaps inbetween the top and bottom teams from a money perspective.
And likely that one of the big 3 will outspend/or better use that spend to pull ahead.
@NadalistheGOAT_@MattP1Gallagher Not gonna disagree with you - but Russel doing what he did isn’t fair play. You can say the rules aren’t fair and change them, but you can’t disobey them because you don’t agree.
