a person who’s slept with one person 100 times is probably gonna be “better” at sex than someone who’s slept with 100 people once…even tho manosphere bs artists and dating guru quacks would disagree (because culture war grievances are how they pay the bills).
there’s this view on social media that sex is like an arcade machine where the more points you rack up the better you become at it, and it seems completely divorced from how intimacy works. you get better by learning your partner’s needs in bed, not by “doing” good sex to them.
holy shit i always thought they did a vocal effect on “damn you, you traitors” because of how guttural it sounded…and you’re telling me it’s because bryce unhinged his jaw??? generational talent.
Bryce Papenbrook, 'ATTACK ON TITAN' English voice actor for Eren Yeager, reveals he dislocated his jaw to record Eren's voice lines during the big Season 2 reveal
"I literally unhinged my jaw before that take, because I wanted that pain to come through"
Warm-heartedness. Even animals appreciate it. If you are motivated by loving kindness, it will be reflected in the happy expression on your face. Real beauty is inner beauty.
One reason men and women across cultures and sexual preferences tend to rate women as better-looking than men is that women are better-looking than men
taking this opportunity to remind everyone that elliot is an excellent actor (and was one of my favorite parts of umbrella academy). hollywood refusing to give him his flowers would be a waste!
Elliot Page says he has received NO role offers despite the huge success of “The Odyssey”, and believes being transgender has made it harder for him to get cast as Hollywood still needs to ADAPT 😲
He also opens up about feeling deeply UNCOMFORTABLE while working on Inception and other projects before his transition, but believes his BIGGEST successes are still ahead of him 👀
“I was seen in a certain way before and it’s different now, so maybe there is something to reaching out to people and trying to create projects that way. But it’s a little tricky for me to get cast now, for obvious reasons.”
obama is a twelfth great-grandson of john punch (the very first black person to be enslaved in the us), and i find it amazing how most people are completely unaware because the connection…is through his white mother!
It is genuinely interesting and underdiscussed that the first black President and first black Vice President were not descendants of American slaves, and they were both half-black and raised by their non-black parent.
important to remember that misogyny is the oldest and most widespread bigotry, and so the more autonomy a profession gives women (like the oldest profession) the more vitriolic people’s responses will be to a woman who unabashedly participates.
not to be too dramatic but being able to straightforwardly ride a train into the airport terminal and stepping into a spotless public bathroom completely broke my brain. it’s just impossible to convey how amazing of a city tokyo is to someone who’s never been.
Just returned from a trip to Japan. In truth, I think modern Tokyo is one of the great accomplishments in civilizational history. It is the apex city.
There are 40 million people living there with extremely high levels of *justified* social trust.
It's incredibly clean, orderly, and safe, and yet it doesn't feel totalitarian--at least not if you behave yourself like a civilized person. The respect for individual freedom is clear and visible.
Reaching such high levels of social harmony would be an accomplishment for a single neighborhood, but Tokyo happens to the biggest city in the world. The sheer size alone is unbelievable--the infrastructure alone boggles the mind--and yet it's coupled with ultra-high levels of social harmony. There's nothing else like it.
Truly, it gives me some pride as a human. What an incredible thing we've accomplished.
got pleasantly surprised when i caught a glimpse of myself in the gym mirror for the first time ever…and I’ve been working out for almost five years. the gym rats aren’t lying about body dysmorphia.
