@adiw1202 @sfpdinvestigate @nbcbayarea Also to answer the catalytic converter theft question - we think it’s crazy that a car can get lifted and a whole piece of hardware stolen without you/anyone noticing. We have sensors in the camera that detects if anything unusual happens including movements below the car.

@adiw1202 @sfpdinvestigate @nbcbayarea Reason is because breakins are hard to solve because victims learn about it hours/days after, and cops tend to investigate these as single instances. Totally agree that the chance of capturing the face/identity is low but it is the immediate data that gives us a fighting chance.

@adiw1202 @sfpdinvestigate @nbcbayarea We also have stats and research that indicate an interview done on smash-n-grab criminals around the country would skip cars that have more sophisticated car security systems/loud alarms. Even if they disregard it & still shatter your window, I would much prefer to know it ASAP.

In addition to having monitoring indicators and community + city driven data where we tell you proactively where car crimes have happened…
