I know we all love and respect Mrs Dora Akunyili for the great work she did as DG NAFDAC.
But instead of reminiscing on the good old days let’s focus on the current DG of NAFDAC, what exactly has she been doing to curb the dangerous spread of fake drugs and food in this country.
The name is Professor Moji Adeyeye, let’s speak directly to her as much as we can. Madam Dora is no longer here with us.
There is no difference between Bolt, Uber, InDrive and public transport anymore and it is ridiculous to say the least.
Because tell me why you’ll book a ride that is already expensive, the driver will arrive in a badly maintained car with no AC and still have the mind to tell you that they are not going for the price on the app and proceed to start negotiating with you?
The whole point of this transport system was comfort in the first place.
At first, people used to book a ride to weedings, clubs, dates, meetings and so on, because of how clean, comfortable and decent the cars are. Now it is almost embarrassing for people to do that because of how uncomfortable and inconvenient it has become.
Even if you book the most expensive option on the apps, best believe a subpar car is coming to pick you.
No, I’m not car shaming anyone but they should be standards for accepting cars and drivers on these apps. Why would I pay 10x of the price of a taxi or bus for a car in poor condition and no AC?
Why has it also been normalized for the drivers to negotiate prices with the customers on the phone or offline? Some even go as far as talking you into canceling it so they can drive offline.
The “anyhowness” is this country is so disgusting.
URGENT FUNDRAISING FOR QUADRI ALABI
Following my discussion with the family of Quadri Alabi and at their request, I hereby appeal to all conscientious organizations, individuals, and corporate entities to offer immediate financial assistance to Quadri to enable him and his family relocate from their present community and home.
Amukoko is no longer safe for them, those behind his travails can easily target him or his family members again.
This appeal has become imperative due to active threats to Quadri and his family. As at this morning, they still received threats.
Upon the release of Quadri at the court, it became apparent that it is no longer safe for them to return to their home. Due to the urgency and severity of the situation, we have paid for and lodged them in a hotel for tonight.
In addition to the necessity of relocation, Quadri’s mother who is a ‘petty trader’, has also pleaded with Nigerians to assist her financially to enable her cater for herself and her children. Her husband (Quadri’s father) is deceased.
Finally, we need to rehabilitate Quadri for him to be useful to himself and the society. He has expressed a desire to go to school. He is also open to acquiring a skill.
If you are minded to assist, kindly send your support to the account details below:
Account No: 0092695127
Bank: Sterling Bank
Account Name: Quadri Yusuf Alabi
We will do our best this time to ensure that whatever is donated to Quadri is properly utilized and not misappropriated.
Thank you.
He loved her truly and was vulnerable to her, that’s love not lust.
Calling it lust is trying to absolve her of what she did to someone who truly loved her.
@Roshethequeen Hello, good evening, I’m interested in the intern position. I recently completed comprehensive training in data analysis where I gained a solid foundation in various data analysis tools and techniques. Below is a link to my LinkedIn account.

Why are some people like this?
Way to spectacularly miss the point.
These brave women were more than qualified for more specialized tasks, but no one in power would give them the assignments or the respect they deserved.
Instead, the 6888 battalion was tasked with sorting and delivering more than 17 MILLION pieces of backlogged mail in a 6 month period. Everyone who tried before them had failed.
They worked around the clock in dimly lit rat-infested warehouses and airplane hangars with blacked out windows under the constant threat of air raids. They endured attempted attacks from a German U Boat and astounding disrespect and bigotry from those who owed them gratitude.
Three of the batallion’s members were killed in the line of duty, and the military refused to even honor their sacrifice by paying for their burial.
Many of these women were highly skilled medical technicians who could have easily been assigned to more esteemed duties if they didn’t have to fight the additional war of racial and sexual prejudice.
But they took a job no one else wanted (and one that everyone prior to them had failed), and they did it with excellence, boosting the morale of the troops and bringing peace and comfort to those back home.
If you can’t respect their efforts, the least you can do is shut up. I promise their contributions to the world are more meaningful than sitting around on X throwing stones.
The most important thing you can do for yourself as an African in the 21st century is to accept yourself and stop fighting civil wars inside your head.
Stop fighting your hair.
Stop fighting your accent/language.
Stop fighting your skin.
Stop fighting your food.
Stop fighting your inborn spirituality because of other people's deities.
Stop denying your identity.
Stop denying your social/political/geopolitical context.
Stop all the denial-of-self rituals you have been indoctrinated with from childhood and fully accept yourself for who and what you are.
Once you have the approval of the person you see in the mirror every morning, you won't need anybody's external validation, neither will you feel the need to apologise for existing, occupying space and having a purpose in this world.
From personal experience, it is the most liberating thing you will ever do in your life.
If your gimmick as an African person in oyiboland is to curry favour with oyibos and make them like you, please be advised that "I was born in a terrible place and I feel so privileged to be here after escaping from it" will NEVER make them like you.
A few decades ago, it might have *maybe* made them pity you if you were lucky, but even that no longer works. "Dear White Man Sir, thank you for rescuing me from Darkest Africa and allowing me to live in your glorious oyibo kingdom" is a dead gimmick, and oyibos don't buy that shit anymore.
It doesn't fucking work.
Find something new. Preferably something that comes with a bit of self-respect.

Anyways, Naira closed today at N1545.
You can’t be quoting parallel market and say “Naira plummets”.
This is why I support the onboarding of all forex transactions in the EFEMS at a later stage .
CBN should also step up their regulatory oversight and surveillance
