It was December 2017.
I owned .5 ETH that I bought on a whim since some of my smartest friends (the type to be talking about the singularity in 2008) were interested in it. I followed along but it wasn't until I saw @cryptoKitties that I decided to dive deeper.
There was something magical about unstoppable money being used to breed digital cats onchain. I was a gamer and collector all my life and for the first time, crypto was fun.
I found Axie, on Ethereum, as a community member months later.
@ethereum + Discord account changed my life.
Games have always been a way that people get introduced to new technologies.
The first thing I ever did on the internet was play starcraft on https://t.co/dUXJX0cvRK with my cousins. We've been blessed to be able to onboard millions to crypto.
Now, to be able to come back home to Ethereum as an L2 and continue this mission, it's a full circle moment.
Thank you @ethereum.
Thank you @axieInfinity.
Thank you @ronin_Network.
"We don't want play-to-earn, we want ownership"
Real ownership makes a game play-to-earn whether people want it or not
The Ideal = I can sell items when I am done playing with the game
In reality, ownership = I sell items or currency while I am playing the game = play-to-earn
Ronin <> Ethereum Migration Update
We're almost home.
Our teams are making sure everything is running as smooth as possible.
Stay tuned for more details โ
People keep asking if Ronin can become big again.
I think it can, but not because of one pump or update. It grows when the community keeps showing up, building, and bringing others in.
If you agree, share and leave a like.
