@StephenSeiler You are absolutely right, there’s a paradigm shift here.
For instance, 27:00,00 over 10,000 m to be selected selected for the Olympics in Germany.
No one is getting close to that… but one has to set different ambitions at a young age for this to ever become a possibility.
Morning routine of elite runner:
Wake up, down water, eat a banana, sip coffee, go to the bathroom, go run.
Morning routine of bro cosplaying "elite":
Cold plunge, nasal breathing exercise, supplement stack, meticulous nonsense, no time for full workout because they wasted it
🇫🇷 2026 Tour de France (4/7-26/7) rumours | #TDF2026
With all the ℹ️/rumours available, the order of ⛰️ ranges should be,
⛰️ Pyrenees (1st week)
⛰️ Massif Central (2nd week)
⛰️ Vosges (at end of 2nd week)
⛰️ Alps (3rd week)
@brian_drago_ Also 400-500 miles for trainers like the Novablast…. I usually switch between two pairs and run at least 50% on softer surface e.g. thorough the woods.
@StephenSeiler The problem with AI is: if the premise is wrong, the hypothesis is subsequently wrong. We now know that lactate does not cause acidity - even though there's a correlation. We should be grateful that AI hasn't been around 40 years ago. But the time-saving aspect can be helpful.
@StephenSeiler@srmtraining Absolutely. I was thinking twice too... but then I thought, you only live once and it lasts forever, plus the accuracy that comes with. Currently, I do all my indoor rides on a trainer in my gym. So definitely protect the metal parts if you'd go for it.
@StephenSeiler There's only one answer... https://t.co/DzborOlfXN by @srmtraining - the most accurate and durable device out there. I use the SRM Origin PM & PC8 for training outside, they are worth every single cent.
Moving to Spain during the winter, every morning cold baths, rollers, girlfriend who sells het business to go with him, pregnant and going on a 9 weeks altitude camp, a first child, aerofreak, mentally and fysical strong AF. One of the good guys. Congrats & enjoy @VCampenaerts ❤️
@freddiejevans_@irishpeloton Because they signed him, and he knows some stages like the back of his hand. They mere fact that you are mentioning him is a good reason… he won four times.
@sweatscience What’s known as the “Norwegian Method” has been used in the past by athletes of the former GDR and before (Gerschler/Zatopek).
I don’t like the nomenclature of “threshold” - it’s got no place in physiology. History has shown: volume + increased time at MLSS is a viable method.
