A timelapse view from our @SpaceX Dragon of the spectacular southern aurora seen in yesterday’s post, a result of a recent solar event. As opposed to the previous aurora I’ve seen, this one danced and snaked its way directly below us, putting on quite a show. I am in awe of this ethereal and emotionally evocative phenomenon.
Worth repeating: a legitimate reCAPTCHA should never ask you to open Run (Win+R), Command Prompt, PowerShell, Terminal, or paste commands into your computer.
If it does, you're not verifying you're human—you're being tricked into handing control of your system to someone else.
🚨 Came across another malware-injection attempt, this time disguised as #reCAPTCHA.
It automatically copied a command, which (long story short) likely connects to a remote server and uses Windows rundll32 Utility to execute malicious code from a DLL (Dynamic Link Library) file.
Visited a site to read a news article. Met an unusual @Cloudflare security check, which is asking me to run a script on my system. Instant cyberthreat vibes!
Am I being paranoid, or is it really a malware distribution system masquerading as a CloudFlare security check?
#FerrariLuce | Ferrari’s first EV is here, and it may be the most polarising vehicle of the year.
That being said, I am on the 👍 side, especially because of all the analogue controls and physical buttons. While some aren't impressed, I am digging this luxury sedan vibe.

By the way, it is up for debate whether AI is the reason behind so many layoffs in the IT sector, or merely a scapegoat for trimming Covid-era overhiring.
“To me, it feels like working in your own grave, while you make your own casket.”
Every morning before his shift at a textile factory in #Nagpur, 30-year old Ashish Narayan, a machine technician, straps a small recording device to his forehead.
For the next several hours, the #camera tracks and records everything he does.
From stitching workers to technicians and machine operators, workers across factories are being asked to wear such devices.
Often, they do not know exactly what is being recorded, where the #footage is going, or how it may eventually be used.
But in many cases, they are rarely in a position to refuse or reduce participation, especially in sectors where jobs are insecure.
They are paid anywhere between Rs 200 and Rs 350 per hour.
This whole exercise is part of a growing global push by AI and #robotics companies to gather what is being called “egocentric data”.
That means 1st-person recordings of human activity that can teach #machines how people perform physical tasks.

We Indians consumed at least 340 MWh of electricity ⚡ and 321,760 litres of water 💧.
That’s based on Altman’s June 2025 estimate: 0.34 Wh + 0.32176 ml per ChatGPT text query. Models have become more efficient since, but image generation is clearly far more resource-hungry.
As subscriptions start to replace ownership, I feel closer than ever to a dystopia where companies control everything you use. Here's my take on the trend, tied closely to a #BlackMirror episode.
