Rodri makes Madrid much stronger. Barcelona? Not by much.
In a Barca-centric lens, it’s a waste of money.
From a landscape-centric lens, it’s worth keeping Madrid weak even if you only marginally get stronger yourself.
@LamdarhriAchraf For Rodri to excel, Flick will need to fundamentally change his defensive approach. As u said in la Liga it will workout for the most part, except at worst against Madrid and Atletico (with a Julian) otherwise in UCL I don’t see them competing with Bayern, PSG and Arsenal
@LamdarhriAchraf I never felt that the DM position is what they lacked, it was more a fast CB who excels in 1vs1 situations and second ball retention… which for now they haven’t adressed
@LamdarhriAchraf That’s the thing, don’t u feel with Flick system the midfielders aren’t able to slow down the tempo because how aggressively the backline is wired to move forward ?
Bernardo is gonna raise Madrid’s base level… so that even at their worst they can count on him in such tricky games against low tier teams after big games
@FlamingForge@SiezerW Yes but at the same time it offers him space to move his body to claw his opponent or head to counter bite depending on where his neck is bitten
@Serle_bb@Ibrahimxx_ Universally known? Aguerd and Aitboudlal would beg to differ … his personal life is for himself. He is very badly advised… he should’ve stayed in his club for the rest of the season at least, then strive for a better club in Portugal and make a name for himself…
