@waynefenlon @Rio_Youers @StephenKing@HulseAdam Nice!
I am reading Joseph Sale’s Beyond the Black Gate, second tale in a sci-fi/horror/hardboiled trilogy. Very, very good, a worthy follow-up to the fantastic Gods of the Black Gate.
Bookmark is a super-cool, signed Gothic nameplate I got from @PhilipFracassi!

Shoutout to @SSTPublications and Paul, the man behind the beautiful books this Independent Publisher churns out. Paul could deliver a Master Class on the intersection between sales and above-and-beyond customer service. Today brought the latest of so many positive interactions.
@arthurlirvingec So awesome having Mitch back with the Centre, this guy has been supporting our students from the side of his desk since the day he first left SMU. We’re lucky to have such engaged alumni!

Morning, @StephenVernon! Did you lose something? Came across this gem at Value Village last night. Headed out of town for a few days, but happy to hand this off to you when I return to Halifax if you’d like to send me a DM!
@cvharrold @SadieHartmann Amazing! Very jealous. I saw one with a ripped book jacket for $100 at a shop recently and didn’t pull the trigger. A personal favourite :)
@slimyswampghost John Connolly’s Every Dead Thing… Straub’s Koko… Kraus’ Scowler… Bell’s The Reapers are the Angels… Triana’s Kin… Auerbach’s Penpal… Kolesnik’s True Crime… Seidlinger’s Anybody Home?… Jones’ The Least of My Scars… Gifune’s Savages… Ahlborn’s Brother… to name a few!
@Matt_Wildasin Early appreciation for dark themes came from Watership Down, Jacob Two-Two and the Hooded Fang, Hardy Boys’ Danger on Vampire Trail, among others… moved quickly onto Stephen King and the rest is history :)
