@Danelerc Feels so much like the Argentina 2022 campaign, which started off with a defeat to Saudi Arabia. The performance has indeed been special, especially from a defensive point of view, containing a packed side like France.

@dafCL16 I don’t think the race pace data accounts for the extra stop which Lewis and Max made. The extra stop allows them to push harder the entire race, but they pay for it in form of an extra pitstop. Cuz no way the merc was half a second slower than Lewis.

@Myron_LaPimp @zolz98 Hmm he did counter steer, and then his fronts suddenly gripped up. You’re right, he probably did not brake. But I was just wondering how we misjudged when the front grips.

@Myron_LaPimp @zolz98 I was not talking about his entry to the corner. Of course he carried too much speed into it causing the slide. I was talking about him trying to correct it, when the fronts gripped up.

@ElPredestinato What I could see was the he tried to correct the slide by counter steering, maybe hit his brakes, idk because the front suddenly got loaded and gripped up. Leclerc’s side will have to analyse what happened there. And I wonder if the new brakes had a part to play.

@Danelerc I mean this does make more sense, Leclerc started off the year fairly well, these braking issues are recent. I hope they can revert back to older spec without much regression. We need both the cars to be at their optimum.

@CL16_inside But Charles has driven for years using the Brembo system, Lewis is familiar with the Carbon Industries brakes. The garage on Charles’ side needs to identify what went wrong to upset his feel on the brakes so much. I hope they can figure out a solution before Spain.

@simscircuit I mean that is what they hired Cedric for, but yeah you are right, the dynamic between Lewis and Santi is good right now, so I dont know why risk changing it.

@simscircuit Hamilton needs to work on this, just like SQ, a mistake in his final run kept him away from a potential second row. I know he pushes hard but he needs to avoid overdrive 😔

@MV33Racing Ferrari is probably allowing that squabble because they know anything higher P3 and P4 is beyond reach. The pace of that Mercedes is too much right now for Ferrari to fight a meaningful battle with them. Ferrari is kinda in the no man’s land between the Mercedes and the midfield.
