random compliments do a lot for me. one moment i drown in insècurities and self-pity and then hear someone say something positive and flattering that boosts up my cónfidence then all of a sudden i don't feel bàd about myself anymore.
some people aren’t good at asking for help because they’re so used to being “the helper”. throughout their life they’ve experienced an unbalanced give and take, so their instinct is usually “i’ll figure it on my own”. the self reliance is all they’ve ever known.
if you’re the person who is always there for others, know that your heart is rare. know that you give people hope. know that you make people feel wanted, that you make people feel seen; know that you make people feel like they have purpose.
i usually deal with my own problems alone and i automatically distance myself from everyone once i feel sad and tired for some reason. i don't ask for help that often, even from my close friends, because i don't want to be a burden on them. besides, +
