The market is not bleeding for one reason.

It is bleeding because everything is hitting together.

Crude is high.
Rupee is weak.
Bond yields are elevated.
Inflation risk is back.
Geopolitical war risk is live.

On top of that:

High LTCG.
High STCG.
Higher STT.
More tax layers on every exit.

So the investor is getting crushed from both sides.

Global shocks are destroying sentiment.
Domestic taxes are reducing the reward for staying invested.

When oil jumps, FIIs sell.
When the rupee falls, imported inflation rises.
When yields rise, equities look expensive.
When taxes stay high, selling becomes the easier decision.

This is not a normal correction.
This is pressure stacking.

You cannot control crude.
You cannot control war.
You cannot control US yields.

You can control STCG, LTCG and STT.

Until that friction comes down, every external shock will keep wiping more wealth.

Market is not weak.
The setup is hostile.

Demand Number 1

-Gyanesh Kumar must resign within 48 hours. Initiate criminal proceedings against him. Answer who gave him the orders to steal votes.

Demand Number 2

-Put on hold all upcoming elections. Freeze SIR immediately. Roll back the voters list to January 2025. Constitute an independent inquiry commission that commands public confidence to probe all SIR related actions. Supreme Court which has much to answer for legalising Gyanesh Kumar’s illegalities must immediately order seizing of SIR related files and records and submission to Court.

Demand Number 3

Repeal the 2023 law on ECI appointments immediately. Draft a new law with active participation of civil society, an independent selection process that inspires public confidence.

If the resignation does not come through in 48 hours, we will launch a nationwide agitation and will end it only when all demands are fulfilled.
