6 months of struggling followed by 6 months of winning. Blessed to achieve these numbers in the last two quarters after trying to get back in sync with the markets in Q1 and Q2. Patience pays!
2024 was by far my most successful year, while at the same time finishing #1 on @Bybit_Official . 🙏
One of the most valuable lessons this journey has imparted is the importance of taking profits and compounding your winners. Over time, these small victories compound into much larger ones, and your stack grows exponentially. Greed and human psychology play a significant role in this process, often clouding judgment and leading to mistakes. But if you can master the art of compounding wins and leaving little on the table, you’re already halfway to success.
There’s a common counterargument that "you’ll never get rich if you can’t hold," but what they don’t tell you is that holding without taking profits can quickly go south. You might find yourself martingaling, holding positions in the red for far too long, and letting emotions dictate your next move. This is where the real danger lies.
Two things happen in this scenario: first, you survive and manage to get out, but second, you risk burning a significant portion of your stack, often spiraling into revenge trading and ultimately losing it all. These are the harsh truths of the game that no one talks about. Most people will show you imaginary lines and targets that, in reality, never materialize.
The key to success is not just about holding, but knowing when to take your profits and let the winners compound. Master this, and you’ll find yourself in the order books, where the real power resides.
