a viewer wondered how sky's scene in the mirror room was possible without seeing any cameras, and the crew replied:
《it all started when waa (p'waa = director) threw a kaleidoscope reference our way. we were working on these scenes meant to express the inner mind of niran. however, a top-angle shot alone wasn't going to be enough to tell the story. the ultimate puzzle we had to solve from the get-go was: how do we shoot inside a mirror setup like this without the camera catching its own reflection? and we had to do it under the condition that we shouldn't add any extra burden to the CG team, who were already completely swamped with this project (haha). aside from the easily understood kaleidoscope concept, this scene was therefore designated as a Photographic Illusion Technique right from the start
we had several ideas that got cut. for instance, using a tiny camera and having sky act in a way that blocks it, but that would have restricted the actor's movements too much. another idea was drilling a hole through the mirror, but that would have locked down the camera position too much as well.
so the idea eventually landed on the fact that sky absolutely had to be inside a real mirror room and we had to actually shoot through the mirrors. that left us with pretty much only one option: the kind of setup you see in crime interrogation movies– a two-way mirror used for witnesses to identify suspects or for observation, where the subject can't see what's behind the glass.
the result turned out like this. it was just a small workshop by our crew that took only about 3-4 hours (haha)
Thanks》
kudos to the whole team 😭👏 everyone did a phenomenal job omg 🔥
