SPEEDY RECOVERY, SAWAGA-DALWANGAN! 🦅
Philippine eagle Sawaga-Dalwangan continues to recover after being rescued on July 3 in Bukidnon.
Sawaga-Dalwangan is now alert and responsive. She is eating on her own, her wounds are clean, and the maggot infestation is gone. She has completed her antibiotics and other medicines, and there are no signs of an active infection,” the Philippine Eagle Foundation shared.
Sawaga-Dalwangan, believed to be female, was found weak, dehydrated, wounded, and suffering from a severe maggot infestation when she was rescued on July 3. X-rays also revealed two metal pellets lodged in its body.
“Veterinarians successfully removed the small metal pellet from her wing. The other pellet remains deep inside her left thigh. It will be closely watched, and removal may be considered when she is fully recovered and strong enough for the procedure,” PEF added.

Kayo din ba? Do you immediately go silent when something upsets you? I mean, it's a coping mechanism I’ve developed over time. Instead of expressing my anger or frustration, I simply withdraw and try to process my emotions in private. I prefer handling my problems on my own.
'GONE TOO SOON'
Children were killed in Duterte's war on illegal drugs. They were 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 17 years old. They had homework to finish, exams the next day, Mass to attend, and most especially dreams to achieve.
Some were asleep, some were getting ready for school. But they were killed and became part of the thousands of Filipinos killed in the bloody war that the previous administration waged. As the ICC case against Duterte moves forward, families demand justice. For them, the search for accountability is inseparable from grief — and from the lives they say were taken too soon. | @AdrianINQ
