You're supposed to use every unfair advantage you have. Looks, genetics, connections, dad's money, whatever.
There's nothing noble about choosing the hardest path just to feel like an underdog.
Date someone who is curious about you. Not someone who simply finds you attractive or entertaining, but someone who wants to know the person behind the surface. Someone who reads every message twice, remembers the stories you almost forgot to tell, and notices the little things no one else does. Someone who wants to know where your scars came from, what shaped you, what makes you laugh, and what keeps you awake at night. Attraction may draw someone in, but genuine interest is what makes them stay. Find someone who wants to learn every layer of who you are.
I am very strict with my choice of female friends because even I acknowledge that as much as I love women, some women are enablers of the ills that we fight in our society.
A Male-centered woman is a Dangerous animal. They're worse, cause they're dangerous to even their species
i think as a child i never despised the idea of cooking/sewing and doing 'household work' i just despised the fact that i was expected to know how to do it because i'm a girl
I noticed something:
People who have traveled a lot tend to judge less. Not because they became nicer, but because they've seen too many versions of what's "normal."
In one country, it's normal to eat with your hands.
In another, it's normal to stay quiet at the table.
In a third, it's normal to hug strangers.
When you've seen 30 different versions of "the right way," you stop believing yours is the only one.
Travel doesn't just teach geography.
It teaches tolerance.
โOh, you love to read? You should join our book club!โ
But you see the problem is I donโt want to be told what to read, because then I automatically donโt want to read it.
Can someone open a support group for people watching The Polygamist? Because what do you mean?! ๐คง๐ I have questions, concerns, and high blood pressure.
