A number of bills related to crypto assets in the state of Arizona have successfully passed the House Rules Committee, opening the way for immediate discussion in a full vote in the state legislature.
One of the plans, SB1042, proposes that state-owned funds be invested up to 10% into crypto assets. The policy has the potential to make Arizona one of the regions in the United States that actively allocates public funds to the digital asset sector.
In addition, RUU SB1649 was also proposed to form a digital asset proposal or digital assets reserve fund. The fund is designed as a mechanism for storage and management of state-owned crypto assets.
The move reflects the local government's increased concern for the potential of digital assets as part of its financial strategy. If passed, the policy could expand crypto’s role from mere an individual investment instrument to part of government’s institutional portfolios.
This development also indicates that crypto regulation in the United States continues to grow statewide, with various approaches taken to accommodate innovation while maintaining financial stability.
With the passing of this early stage, both bills are now on fast track to be decided in a full vote, which will determine the direction of crypto policy in Arizona going forward.
