You spend time chasing butterflies, they’d fly away, but if you spend time cultivating a garden, they’d come to you
Stop chasing, and start building
When you start being a person of value, everyone will want to be around you
Honestly had this conversation with someone. Peer pressure happens on both spectrum, both negative and positive, if you have been intentional with the friends you picked, then the pressure you’d receive can only be positive
Perhaps it’s just peer pressure isn’t inherently good or bad; it depends on where it leads you.
Surround yourself with people whose standards challenge you to become better. The right people won’t just celebrate your potential; they’ll hold you accountable for it.
The idea that “The enemy of my enemy is my friend” is a farce, because once you are done dealing with the mutual enemy, you guys will go back to what made you enemies
The only issue now is that you are both vulnerable, because you’ve now shared your secrets with one another.
Here is the thing, your dreams will hunt you if it doesn’t motivate you to work - A person who scores 10 out of 15 won’t feel as sad as someone who scores 10 out of 50
This simply means your degree to failure and disappointment is relative to how far you are from your goals
Many of us don't confront challanges up front, we complain about your partner to your friends and you complain about your friends to your partner, because it is low risk to confront each of the issues up front
