Case in point: Charizard SPC

These sat around last year in stores at retail for £79.99. Nobody was buying them.

10 packs for £80 isn’t massively attractive, not good value.

Now they’re being sold under retail at a loss by scalpectors 💀

There’s unlikely to be a huge market like this because of the pack selection being so mixed.

The promos aren’t really worth anything.

You’ll get a better return by ripping it and hoping for a good pull tbh. Lots of fun cards in those sets.

There aren’t enough packs from any specific set to make it an investment with and kind of potential.

Nobody would open this is 5 / 10 years to chase a specific card of any value.
