🚨UPDATE: Despite agreeing a £117m deal for Morgan Rogers, only £23.4m will count on Chelsea's books for the 2026/27 season due to amortisation.

While Aston Villa will receive the agreed transfer fee, Chelsea are able to spread the accounting cost across the length of Rogers' long-term contract, significantly reducing this season's PSR impact.

This means the Blues can still remain aggressive in the transfer market, with plans to strengthen at centre-back, left-back and midfield before the window closes.

It's another example of how BlueCo continue to use long-term contracts to maximise spending power while remaining within Premier League and UEFA financial regulations.
