Between the lottery and the asinine "japan only" requirements (address, phone numbers, etc), I didn't bother trying to attend.

1. 일본 핸드폰 번호 필요
2. 일본 집주소 필요
3. 해외 신용카드는 받지 않음
4. 간혹가다 열리는 외국인 티켓 자리는 대부분이 회장의 가장 구석임

그래서 포기하고 집에서 라이브 스트리밍이라도 보려고 하면

1. 해외에서는 시청할 수 없는 동영상
2. 해외계정으로는 설치할 수 없는 어플

모두의 축제라면서 이렇게 외국인을 배척하는 듯한, 오직 일본 자국민을 위한 공연이라는 느낌을 대놓고 드러내니까 우리가 일본의 시스템 자체에 대해 얘기하는 거예요. 팬들은 사랑하는 아티스트를 위해서라면 어디든 날아갈 수 있지만, 날아가기도 전에 지쳐버려요.

There's no educational value in LTT anymore.

I've never found value in LTT Labs results, and it feels vindicated when money gets spent like this, instead of "we're sick of the industry lies, let's get facts" kinda spending.

@shploofs I didn't! I saw a lot praise and love for the book when the trailers released, so I went into the movie completely blind, zero knowledge.

I think people say it all the time about piracy/circumvention, that the people often doing it never intended on paying, so it was never a loss, that money was never going to be made.

If stuff doesn't get official releases international, it's not a loss. It's a means to consume.

If it's $38 billion for domestic piracy, that is incredible.

If it is international losses, in a market where half of the anime/manga content consumed is lost media, out of print, and just not translated and sold outside of Japan, it's not really a loss.
