Silent October 1st Patch:

NBA 2K27 pushed a silent shooting update on October 1 with no patch notes.
1. The hot-streak penalty got softer: when you are shooting above your expected percentage the game shrinks your green window on contested shots, and that shrink is now one eighth weaker in Rec, City, Ranked and Crew, which leaves you up to 38% more window deep into a hot streak.
2. The random release delay is off: online, a player at 80% or better from the field after 6 shots could get up to 2 frames of random delay on a release, and the trigger was moved to 110%, which nobody can reach. Deep threes from about 26.5 feet and out make a little more often, with a 95 three from 29.5 feet going from 23.9% to 24.6%. Mid-range got a buff in Ranked 3v3 and Crew, where a wide-open 85 mid-range went from 53.2% to 54.9%. Wide-open and open shots from range got a tiny bump too, about 0.2 points on a normal three.

Not enough people speaking about how bad the ghost contest are. People aren’t even playing my shot, big man is fake stepping getting light contest, reaching light contest, on the ground getting a light, running by me light contest. I gotta go through a defender spamming reach, I’m fumbling, I can’t shoot limitless, then I got different timings on my jumpshot. On top of that are the most insane ghost contest. It’s tough out here on a PG. need that update asap.

Shooting in 2K was way better when Visual Cues wasn’t a thing.
All you had to do was throw on a good base and Tweak your release speed and learn your jumper off Muscle memory.
Now Muscle memory isn’t even a thing in 27 respectfully the shooting is not good in 27. No jumper feels good enough to where you say “Damn this is the one” and you confident about it💯
