In the end, I understand that career pivot is messy (on top of moving countries and visa logistics).

I am fully embracing this.

Progress in my book isn’t just a job (although yes I want it!)

But it may look like: 23 applications, 15+ chats, 8 articles, & 1 interview ✌🏻

The job market in 2026 is… rough.

For the past 6+ weeks, I’ve been trying to not just find a new job but also
- change career
- move countries
- break into the UK health innovation ecosystem.

I think I’m at the midpoint of my journey.

But I am not having these chats just to “network”.

Somehow i notice the chats fall onto 3 categories: to clarify my assumptions about NHS/Innovation, to learn from someone pivot experience, or to get a read on my strengths/gaps.

Writing everything also gives me clarity!

When my friends told me I should build a health app (because I work in healthcare), I thought… sure, that makes sense. But then I looked at the data.

And realized the biggest behavioral problem people around me were struggling with wasn’t medication adherence.
