Ethanol will hurt the BJP electorally, not because of car owners, the are just 8% of the population, but because of bike owners, who make up 60%.

Every issue with a bike, irrespective of whether it's due to ethanol or not, is being blamed on ethanol. Remember that the overwhelming majority of car and bike mechanics are not your voters and, in fact, they hate you and you know why. They are actively telling anyone with any bike issue that it is due to ethanol. Not only does it serve a political purpose, but it is also easy and convincing.

Car and bike dealers are equally happy to lean into this excuse because it completely deflects blame away from the manufacturers and their own service centers. If a part fails prematurely or a vehicle suffers from a chronic engineering defect, blaming ethanol allows dealers to shift the responsibility onto government policy rather than admitting to poor build quality or honoring warranty claims. It gives them a convenient, politically charged scapegoat that customers readily accept, shielding the automotive brands from reputational damage.

It's up to the BJP to smell the coffee. The issue is no longer on Twitter and no longer raised just by English-speaking metro car owners. It has gone to the ground. There is still time to wake up and make corrections.

P.S. I'm not defending ethanol here. It does damage engines and parts. I've been strongly opposing it and will keep doing so. I'm only saying what's happening on the ground. The BJP should do a course correction on ethanol solely because its implementation was wrong and correcting it is only logical. However, since politicians see every controversy from the standpoint of electoral gains and losses, I'm telling them that it will hurt them electorally too.

Gadkari's sons company's revenue went up from ₹171 Cr to ₹2234 Cr and Profit went up by ₹5 Cr to ₹223 Cr and even Rahul Gandhi knows that but he never talk about it because that's just ₹2234 Revenue but ethanol total generated ₹100000 Cr revenue and huge amount out of that goes to sugar mills governed by Congress

For the last 10 years, Gadkari has pushed ethanol blending, allowing sugar mills to earn much more by producing ethanol.

But who owns these sugar mills?

• Ajit Pawar – 6 sugar mills (58,000 TCD capacity)
• Vilasrao Deshmukh family – 10 sugar mills
• Vijaysinh Mohite Patil, Jayant Patil & Vishwajeet Kadam – major sugar mill owners
• In Karnataka, politicians like the Jarkiholi brothers, M.B. Patil, Murugesh Nirani & Prabhakar Kore also own major sugar mills.

As ethanol blending increased from 5% to 20%, these mills earned more—regardless of which party their owners belonged to.

Even among Maharashtra's defaulting sugar mills, around:

- 77 are linked to BJP leaders
- 53 to NCP leaders
- 43 to Congress leaders
- The rest to Shiv Sena leaders

That's why this issue goes beyond one party.

If Rahul Gandhi attacks the ethanol policy, many leaders from his own side could also come under scrutiny.

People are busy fighting over political parties.
The real game is the sugar lobby that cuts across all parties.

Heard a cabinet reshuffle is on the cards.

Requesting the PM to consider swapping the ministries of Shri Nitin Gadkari and Shri Dharmendra Pradhan.

Shri Gadkari has already done more than needed work in transport, so much so that there is virtually nothing left to be done. A man with such a Midas touch, and hunger to bring change even if it's not needed, is exactly what is required in the Education Ministry, where a massive overhaul is needed.

Meanwhile, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan can be transferred to the Transport Ministry. Since the heavy lifting there has already been completed, the ministry now requires someone who won't do much, will leave things exactly as they are, and won't experiment too much. Shri Pradhan, having done remarkably little in the Education Ministry, would be the ideal candidate for the job.

My car was giving mileage of 13 km/litre in city before this E20 petrol.

Now it is giving below 10.

Same with my moped, mileage has been dropped by at least 30%.

People who have no idea, I request you to empty your tank and then fill only 1 litre, you will come to know.

5-8% mileage reduction is just on paper,in reality it is at least 30%.

Such a big issue is this, why it has not been protested till now.

Millions of vehicles have been affected on the road.

This is not a small issue, it will destroy your vehicles forever.

A middle class busy a vehicle in 10 years with his hard earned money and his pocket will be fucked by burden of low mileage.
