thereโs a particular kind of interaction iโve grown tired of: the endless โhi, dm๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ messages from someone who keeps insisting they want to send, only to suddenly have a dozen reasons why they canโt when the opportunity actually comes up.
youโve sent before, you know how this works, so at some point, the constant asking starts to feel a little pointless. especially when iโm expected to keep entertaining the same conversation, only to hear that the amount is suddenly too much. iโd rather spend my time on connections where the interest is genuine and the follow-through matches the words. i donโt mind a little anticipation, but iโm not interested in going in circles.
i had a conversation recently that reminded me how rare a genuinely good connection can be. my former best sub, whoโs unfortunately retired, understood something that made our dynamic so special: he loved seeing me happy, dressed up, enjoying beautiful things and having experiences i genuinely loved. knowing his money contributed to that made the whole thing even more rewarding for him. it was a win-win in the truest sense.
and honestly, i think he spoiled me a little. not just financially, but in the energy, the thoughtfulness and the satisfaction of a connection that felt genuinely good on both sides. now, a lot of interactions feel a little flat by comparison. iโm not saying itโs impossible to find that again, but someone is going to have some very big shoes to fill.
