what annoys me is that unless you're a 2nd/3rd generation New Yorker who inherents it from your family, nearly ALL rent-stabilized apartments are snapped up by savvy, college-educated young people who can research the city databases and know that landlords will favor them as single, $100k+ earners (which is fine). but the same people refuse to admit that their cunning behavior shows the system is actually not fair to working class people.
