A short time ago, creator Sam Weidenhofer (@itssozer) met
88-year-old veteran Ed Bambas while he was working at a Detroit grocery store. Ed had lost both his pension as well as his wife to a longterm illness, and has been working full time ever since.
Sam shared Ed's story.
Ed is 88. A Veteran. A man who kept working because of $225K+ in debt he didn't want to leave to his family.
And today... we handed him a check for $1.77 million.
He cried. We cried. And his life is forever changed.
Thank you to everyone who made this miracle possible.
1.77 MILLION, One of the biggest individual fundraisers in @gofundme HISTORY.
- You've changed
Ed an 88 year old veterans life, from the bottom of my heart thank you. You haven't just helped Ed, you've raised awareness & spread hope to the ENTIRE WORLD. Thank you.
