Woohoo!! It’s #BlackSpaceWeek 🚀
My name is Jordan Forman. I’m a Postbac Researcher at @NASAGoddard with my B.S. in Astronomy & Astrophysics. I analyze the gamma-ray emissions of Active Galactic Nuclei & blazars using data from the Fermi Large Area Telescope #ShoutoutBlackInSpace
@Florida_Today Thank you @Florida_Today and @JDGallop for featuring me and my mentee @itsspacejordan in this article! I appreciate the needed coverage of invigorating people of color in #STEM careers, especially in my field of astrophysics. 🙏🏾
I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be starting my Ph.D. in Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of California, Santa Cruz this fall! Thanks to the amazing mentors, friends, and collaborators who’ve helped me along the way. I’m so grateful and excited for this new chapter!
I’m thrilled to have given my first oral presentation at the #AAS243 American Astronomical Society Meeting!
I gave an overview of my work studying the gamma-ray flux variability in BL Lac objects.
I’m honored to have given my first #AAS talk before even starting graduate school!
I’m ecstatic to be a Student Leader for the NASA Cosmic Explorers Science Interest Group (COR:E SIG)!🚀
This is going to a great opportunity for professional development of students and early-careers interested in astrophysics at NASA! I’m excited to help lead this new frontier!
@itsspacejordan is a post-bac researcher at @NASAGoddard. She received a B.S. in Astronomy & Astrophysics from @FloridaTech in 2022, and has held three consecutive internships since 2021. Her focus is on gamma-ray spectra from AGN and blazars using Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope
The gamma-ray sky hosts a pair of gigantic galactic bubbles. The Fermi Bubbles were discovered in 2010, and scientists still have questions about them, like what made them, when they formed, and why they appear so smooth! https://t.co/SpGzNMkqbJ #NoRhymeOrReasonDay#FermiFriday

The Cosmic Explorers Student Group is absolutely open to international students! Part of my family is from outside the USA so I definitely understand issues with access🇵🇦 If you have questions feel free to message me here or email: [email protected]
You can sign up to join the new Cosmic Explorers Student Science Interest Group by filing out the google form here: https://t.co/cGkNlJUMTy

It’s crazy to think that one year ago I was in Germany for the DESY Summer Student Program @desynews studying Astroparticle physics, and now a year later I’m a full time Postbac researcher at @NASAGoddard. Time is really flying😮💨🚀
@ravenscimaven @amethistaaa @Dr_Gamble21 This was soo cool!! Also, I’m currently contracted as a Postbac Researcher at NASA, but I interned a few times during undergrad :)
It’s #BlackSpaceWeek ! My name is Amethyst Barnes, and I’m an intern at @NASAGoddard working on weak gravitational lensing simulations with the @NASARoman Project Science team! I just graduated from Florida Tech with my B.S. in Astronomy and Astrophysics.
