원피스 최종보스 이무의 정체가 ‘앵무새’라는 추측이 국내 커뮤니티발로 레딧까지 역수출되며 화제.
근거를 보면 퍼즐이 소름 돋게 맞아떨어진다.

① 서양 해적의 3대 상징은 안대, 갈고리 손, 어깨 위 앵무새인데 원피스엔 셋 다 등��하지 않는다. 최초의 해적 조이보이가 그 스테레오타입 해적이었다면, 그의 어깨에 있던 앵무새가 지금의 이무일 수 있다는 것

② 주인공은 ‘몽키’ D. 루피. 해적의 또 다른 상징 동물인 원숭이와 앵무새가 세계의 운명을 놓고 맞붙는 구도

③ 이무의 어눌한 1인칭 ’무(ム)’는 말을 배운 앵무새의 흔적일 수 있다. 일본어로 앵무새는 ‘오우무(オウム)’

④ 판게아 성의 ‘거대한’ 밀짚모자 — 사실 모자는 평범한 크기고, 바라보던 이무가 작은 새였기에 거대해 보였다는 묘사 트릭이라는 해석

⑤ 공개된 이무의 날개도 악마의 날개가 아닌 조류의 날개 형태

⑥ 로저가 라프텔에서 원피스를 보고 ‘그저 웃은’ 이유 — 세계의 지배자가 고작 앵무새였다면 납득이 간다

물론 오다는 “결말을 맞춘 사람이 있으면 바꾼다”고 했으니 반은 재미로 보자. 그래도 원숭이와 앵무새가 세계의 존폐를 걸고 싸운다는 그림, 너무 원피스답지 않나?
