Cool life update.
I was on a committee that put together a golf tournament benefitting Cancer for College, an organization that provides scholarships and medical debt relief to students that have beat and are currently fighting the disease.
I’ve worked with the organization the last decade or so, and as a former scholarship recipient myself, it’s always nice to see things come full circle. They put me through college and helped me graduate debt free, which gave me a heck of a head start on the life I fought so hard for.
We ended up raising $86,445 of our $90k goal, which will send 17 cancer survivors to college.
We’re still collecting donations for the next few days and if you want to learn more about the organization you can follow the link in the replies.
Quick life update.
After years of saving, I’ve finally bought a home for myself and my fiancée today.
Took a lot of time and work, especially in today’s housing market. But I’m proud to say we did it all ourselves. Pretty happy about it.
Happy #InternationalWomensDay to the love of my life.
I’m so proud of the woman you’ve become and it’s been a privilege to grow with you over the years.
Whether you’re going out of your way to help someone (or an animal) in need, paying your way through college, or being my peace… you really are amazing and I’m proud of you. Thankfully you think I’m funny.
