@kela9123 And finally, Accomplishing what Nadal does in spreading the court when facing the depth and heaviness coming from Sinner is something literally one person in history can do consistently. Most other players hitting “spinny and slow” would be utterly dominated by Sinner (Ruud).
@kela9123 I still maintain that characterizing the distinction you are now making as Spinny and slow vs flat and fast is at the very least missing a massive degree of nuance that you are now fleshing out, and at worst is just factually inaccurate. RPMs on Sinner’s ball are also 3200+
@kela9123 What you just described is often a problem for players because putting Nadal (and Sinner) on the run is largely ineffective. You can accomplish this regardless of how hard you hit the ball. Djokovic does it too with a totally different profile.
@kela9123 ….yes. Nothing you just said has is “spinny and slow.” Nadal spreads the court better than anyone in history. He also flips defense to offense exceptionally well.
By the way, Sinner also does both of these things exceptionally well, in party because his ball has so much shape.
@kela9123 I agree Ruud doesn’t have the variety of Nadal…hence my point that the spinny and slow isn’t the issue here. Nadal would disrupt rhythm, but not because he hits spinny and slow vs Sinner hitting fast and flat…that’s just as lazy an analysis as “fast equals better”
@kela9123 1. 2023 Sinner vs. today is a bad comparison
2. Casper Ruud also has high ball flight/RPMs. Sinner eats him for breakfast.
3. This profile coming from a lefty is a totally different game.
Analyzing this as Sinner fast + flat vs. Nadal spinny and slow is just inaccurate.
@Aleeexanderrrrr Looooooooolllllllllllllll you’re so right. 2003 when Lleyton Hewitt finished world number 1 is a stronger era than Sincaraz +Djokovic.
@Aleeexanderrrrr Zverev has a higher return games won percentage than Andy Roddick did in his career. Andy Roddick is a former world number 1 and a grand slam champ. An excellent server, but calling him a serve bot would be laughable for anyone who knows tennis.
@Aleeexanderrrrr Ok well I hope everyone knows now that you just have no idea wtf you're talking about. His RETURN GAME WON %. Is because of his serve? That doesn't even make sense...
@Aleeexanderrrrr Zverev serve bot? His return game won percentages is 22.2%. Puts him in the top 30 purely on returning. For comparison, John Isner's career return games won was 10%. If he is a "serve bot," he's an EXCEPTIONAL returner for a serve bot.
@Aleeexanderrrrr You’re just utterly ignoring my point…Zverev’s forehand weakness is covered up against 95+% of the tour because the rest of his strengths are so obvious. Same applies to fed with his backhand.
Zverev’s record against top 10 is in large part bad because of Sincaraz+Djoko…
@Aleeexanderrrrr Mental blocks don’t happen in a vacuum, but a 6’6 player serving 70+% with an elite backhand who moves as well as he does is top tier. Your reply is as stupid as suggesting Federer is weak because he struggled with high backhands. “lol just hit high to the backhand hurrrrrrr.”

This is more of a testament to how many high quality young players there are than anything though. I think even if she can fix her serving issues, the WTA is a very deep field right now.
@laRealMaquina@JJ_McCullough Literally the only reason you could possibly believe Obama was unqualified to be president is racism…and I don’t use that accusation lightly.
@laRealMaquina@JJ_McCullough Can you please explain how Obama was unqualified to be president, but Trump is somehow qualified? Trump bought his way through school, ran a real estate business he inherited, then hosted a TV show. Obama is Columbia+Harvard law, community organizer, 2 term senator…
