You would be surprised. I have had two spinal fusions so can speak from experience. I am not overweight. I go about my day to day. No one would know looking at me. Before my first surgery I went through years of PT and could barely hold a pencil anymore or anything in my right hand without dropping it. Before my second, another level of my spine, the itching sensation throughout my body was so intense I thought I was going to lose my mind. Very easy to judge if you never had a spinal issue yourself. I don’t condone the murder but I have incredible empathy for him. I was denied the anesthesia for my second surgery even though the doctor doing the surgery was in network by United Healthcare. Mind boggling. I won after a fight but shouldn’t have to fight something like that.
@maxdefacto @pramisnicolas @TheBull4You You shouldn’t have to explain yourself. This shouldn’t have happened, and no matter how angry or unhappy people are with the company the man didn’t deserve this.
I do understand how angry many people are, and lives have been ruined because of the company as a whole. It also could be the insider trading allegations and someone else involved keeping him quiet. But, the entire insurance industry needs to be examined, any one involved in insider trading if true should have gone to jail and kost their illicit gains. The system is messed up certainly. But it was not just him. And we can’t go around shooting people. That is insanely high traffic busy area. I know as I literally work down the street. Other people could have been hurt or killed. I get the rage, I don’t agree with the method.
It all went together they processed separarely and said the anesthesia was “not medically necessary”. 😳That was one of my easier battles with them. I had other treatments for things approved sometimes in prior approvals and then randomly denied later and never approved again even though my diagnosis never changed.
