@AvaValComedy Why would you assume it’s a bit? How do you know? Are you saying that anybody who identifies as a trans woman but doesn’t feel ready to make those physical transitions yet is faking it? This feels very transphobic to people at different stages of their identity journey…
WHAT ACTUALLY MATTERS IN ECOM FULFILLMENT - PT. 2
TIMELY RECEIVING = Inbound inventory is checked in and made available for shipping quickly.
Why it matters: Receiving SLAs can range from hours to weeks based on shipment size, 3PL capacity, and seasonality.
Delays lead to =
- Backorders

Questions to ask a potential fulfillment partner:
1. What is your inbound receiving SLA?
2. What is required from the brand to meet it?
3. What causes receiving delays? How are they handled?

WHAT ACTUALLY MATTERS IN ECOM FULFILLMENT - PT. 1
SAME-DAY SHIPPING / FULFILLMENT
Same-day shipping = orders are fulfilled on the same day they are placed.
Questions to ask:
1. Do they offer same-day fulfillment?
2. What is their exact cutoff?
(Cutoff = the exact time of day after which same-day fulfillment is no longer guaranteed.)
3. How are orders prioritized during times of increased volume?
4. How often do backlogs occur, and how quickly are they typically resolved?
Why it matters:
Slow Fulfillment =
- Delayed orders
- Loss of customer trust
- Negative reviews
- Store/Account penalties (TikTok will literally shut your store down for slow fulfillment)
If you’re scaling in 2026, same-day fulfillment is necessary. If you want more tips on finding the right fulfillment partner, follow me for PT. 2!

I don’t have an Ecom company of my own, but over the past 2 years I’ve supported over 120 Ecom brands in their growth. Here’s what the most successful ones have in common:
1. A Unique and Valuable Product: There’s no shortcut to succeeding in ecom, but if there was it’d be having a great product. A great product is one that a) provides value and b) is unlike anything else on the market. New is not always better (creative ideas fail constantly because they fail to service a need), but new and valuable is 100x better than a copy of an already existing, valuable product. Bottom line, if your product isn’t providing value / servicing a need, you’re setting yourself up for failure, and if you want to copy a product that’s already winning, you better find a good way to differentiate.
2. They Know How to Advertise: Advertising is not my expertise, but what I’ve observed is that the brands who succeed selling online, succeed at advertising. I know that sounds obvious, but when I say “succeed at advertising” I mean they turn it into a lever. The best brands find out what works first, usually through rigorous A/B testing at low figures. Only once they have a winning strategy figured out do they crank the lever. My takeaway, don’t try to crank the lever before you’ve found a winning strategy.
3. Organized Internal Operations: I’m all for start-up culture, but once you’ve proven the market for your product and can crank the advertising lever to ramp things up effectively, a good team is a top priority. Don’t cut corners on customer support and have someone competent and detail-oriented running operations. Most of the costly mistakes I see clients make result from either poor customer support or poor operations management. Good people are worth taking the time to find, and the difference between a good and a great team member can be 10x or more.
The ego is not a bad thing, but the repercussions of too many people living too deeply in their ego has divided us, deeply. The division is so intense and extensive we've structured society like an excel spreadsheet, with each cell representing a specific group of people, infinitely. Groups are fine, but they too are ego-based. Furthermore, division without inclusion is toxic. Add in some judgment and hatred and we’ve lost our humanity. All of this stems from ego, which requires comparison and division for validation, and who cares more about image than the wellbeing of others.
For the sake of the people who desperately need your help, of which there are many, and for the sake of your true self, which calls out to you in the brief moments of mental silence, we must evolve, individually and as a society. Rather than living a life identifying with the ego, we must become aware of the soul; who we really are, and find our sense of self-worth from within. Your true self is pure consciousness; the consciousness of everything - and we’re all sharing it. We must escape a lifestyle and society dominated by the ego because the world needs empathy more than ever, and all of us can make a difference.
After reading The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra I’m more convinced than ever that we must escape a lifestyle dominated by the ego.
When most people hear the word ego they likely associate it with someone who is cocky, rude, ignorant, or full of themselves, someone with low self-awareness or narcissistic tendencies. While these are common characteristics of a highly egotistical (or ego-driven) person, there is much more to uncovering the true essence of the ego. In order to understand the difference between ego and self, and to see the prevalence of the ego in present-day society, we must first look at the contrast between self-referral and object-referral.
In philosophy, the ego is described as a conscious thinking subject. This is a great place to start because we often treat the ego as part of ourselves, when the ego is really its own separate being. Not a real being, but an illusionary one created by your thinking mind and actualized through your subconscious mind - aka your body. What you intake (consciously and unconsciously) affects how you view yourself and the world around you, which affects how you portray yourself, which over time, defines who you are. But is that really you?
We’re all “playing a character” to some extent, but who you really are, at the core, is the same as everyone else: pure consciousness
Take John for example, who just handled a big move into a new apartment. John says, “yesterday I had a small and smelly apartment, but today I have a beautiful and luxurious one!” John has identified two points in time, yesterday and today, and he has associated each point with adjectives like small and smelly and, beautiful and luxurious. Now these two moments are observed, defined, and deemed separate from one another. And because of the norms and standards of society, the words small and smelly are likely associated with negative emotions while the words beautiful and luxurious are likely associated with positive emotions. The human mind uses this process of division and definition, as well as the concept of relativity, to justify that: a. things are separate from one another, and b. things are good and bad. However, if you live in the present moment, in a state of pure consciousness, the ego cannot exist. Time becomes immaterial and judgment becomes meaningless.
The ego will always try to rope you back into object-based power. But releasing object-referral will free you from the ego, and allow you to discover the unlimited power which comes from knowing your true self. It will allow you to connect more deeply to others, and have compassion for people you’ve never met.
