@CitImmCanada My parents’ visitor visa was rejected on random, baseless reasons—ignoring clear facts. Immigration officers hold too much unchecked power, and the system seems designed to reject first, review later. Families shouldn’t be torn apart by bias and broken processes.
At the end of the day, it feels like their real “fault” is coming from Vietnam, a developing country. Bias against applicants from places like ours means facts don’t matter—only stereotypes. Families like mine pay the price.
One rejection reason? That I’m “not financially stable enough” to support them during their stay—despite me having a full time job and earning 50% more than the average household income in Vancouver, BC. https://t.co/xHgYFoHuZp
I’m a PR in Canada. My parents have a clean travel history, never overstayed a visa, and just wanted to visit me. Yet their application was denied, not once, but twice.
Why do I have to provide my credit card statement just to buy a damn pair of gym shorts? @lululemon Do you need my credit report from TransUnion as well? Or my birth certificate?
@lululemon I am uncomfortable sharing personal financial statements via email. This request seems excessive and inconsistent with typical online payment practices. Is this the norm @PrivacyPrivee ?
@Aeroplan Hi, me and boyfriend got the following error message when trying to book a Turkish Airline flight with Aeroplan points. What’s happening? Please don’t tell us it’s phantom inventory because my boyfriend only bought the points because of the flight.
@Aeroplan Why weren’t we told upfront that these points were unusable? This isn’t just Turkish Airlines’ fault—it’s Aeroplan’s responsibility to be transparent so customers don’t waste money buying points that they can’t use.
@Aeroplan I just got off the phone with your contact center, and they confirmed that Turkish Airlines has had a system problem for over a week, blocking all flight bookings. But here’s the real issue: Aeroplan knew about this and still let people buy points without any warning!
@second_bassoon How would you know that the adjustments in PS will be “simple”? Every time you generate an image a new seed will be used and the result will vary so there’s no guarantee that it would always be “simple adjustments” away from what you want.
@cathaypacific I'm in a difficult situation with my upcoming flight. I booked my ticket through @cheaptickets_sg and realized my name was in the incorrect order. The agency insisted that it’s fine while Cathay customer service agent told me I have to pay USD 60 to change the name
