หลังจากที่กินข้าวกลางวันและเดินออกมา ผมเห็นคนที่ดูคล้ายนักศึกษาต่างชาติคนหนึ่งนั่งถือกล่องอยู่ตรงพื้นสถานีนกซาพยอง พอเดินเข้าไปใกล้แล้วอ่านข้อความบนกล่อง เขาเขียนไว้ว่าไม่มีค่าเดินทางเลยไปมหาวิทยาลัยไม่ได้ ผมเลยเดินไปกดเงินสดมาให้เขานิดหน่อยแล้วช่วยพยุงให้เขาลุกขึ้นและส่งเขาไป แต่พอหันหลังเดินจากมา ก็คิดว่านี่มันคือกลลวงแบบที่เห็นได้ทั่วไป ทำให้ค้างคาใจไม่หาย แต่พอผ่านไปหลายวัน อยู่ ๆ ก็คิดขึ้นมาได้ว่า ยังไงก็ตาม ในตอนนั้นเงินคงเป็นสิ่งที่จำเป็นสำหรับเขา พอคิดได้แบบนั้นก็คลายความแคลงใจลงได้ ก็แค่เงิน 50 ดอลลาร์เอง
