i think it's important to have something to look forward to every day or every week, so when life drains you, it’ll help you to remember that you need to keep going a little longer because there's something waiting for you at the end of the week that might make you smile again.
I don’t want my daughter to be like me. I want her to speak up sooner. Walk away faster. Trust herself deeper. Apologize less. Take up more space. Ask bigger questions. Dream louder. And if that means she becomes everything I wasnt… GOOD!
Imagine just finding out your ex best friend and your ex are friends after they knew everything you went thru in that relationship. could never be me mane. just wow.
no one loves you when you are depressed. plain and simple. we can talk all day about mental health and how important it is, but the moment you are depressed, people start to distance themselves. they see you as negative, a burden and someone too heavy to handle.
Depression:
9am - sleep
1pm - sleep
4pm - cancel stuff you were supposed to do and sleep
7pm - sleep
11pm - tbh sick of it but still sleep
3:45am - get out of bed and rearrange all the furniture in the apartment and eat a whole cake
shoutout to every person who’s depression and trauma was so severe that it caused them to self isolate and kill their social life. you aren’t a bad person for recovering and trying to rebuild yourself, it takes years.
I love people with ADHD because they never actually forget anything. You just have to say the right words to activate them like a sleeper cell and then they awaken with all of the knowledge on a very niche subject they studied for 3 months straight 6 years ago.
Just a friendly reminder. Train yourself not to become too emotionally attached to anyone because when they stop communicating or stop talking to you, you might not recover from it. Remember, people wake up with different feelings everyday. That’s why it’s important to stay grounded and not rely too much on anyone for your happiness. Protect your peace.
my therapist said “people who struggle with anxiety & depression can't remember a lot, bc they're too busy focusing on how to get through each moment so they don t actually experience what is happening to them, causing them to not form the memory they were supposed to” felt that.
