I am SO tired of this LIE.
NO! Pride did not start with “trans women of color”.
There were exactly ZERO “trans” people there!
It was started by a BLACK LESBIAN who called out to the GAY MEN standing nearby, on that night at the Stonewall Inn, to help her as she was being arrested in the police raids.
Janis FFS stop perpetuating lies. STOP letting people LIE about our roots.
🤦♂️
@2ChicksPolitics will be putting out a policy paper on this during our Sunday space. We will forward it to the Minister via X and other MPs. It will make for good discussion - not necessarily for the government - unless they are genuinely seeking input.
Andrew, please explain what you're celebrating.
In May Canada created 154,000 jobs
Lost 66,200
Grew the labour force by 3,800.
So employment increased by 84,000 (reported as a unemployment decrease of 84,000 by Stats. Canada)
For the 12 month period ending in May,
Canada created 147,900 jobs
Lost 700
Grew the labour force by 58,500.
So employment increased by 88,600
So an entire year's worth of job creation basically came in one month.
In 12 months Canada only managed to increase employment by 88,600. Meanwhile our over 15 population increased by 239,400 people in the same period.
We are failing miserably and falling behind.

On a Year-over-Year basis, all the jobs were basically created in 2 provinces, AB & ON.
Let me remind you that Alberta's population is almost 1/3 of Ontario's but we created more jobs.
Quebec is an absolute basket case.
Sorted Summary (YoY Change)
Alberta: +104.4k
Ontario: +91.6k
Manitoba: +18.8k
Prince Edward Island: +4.7k
Nova Scotia: +2.3k
New Brunswick: +0.2k
Saskatchewan: -4.1k
Newfoundland & Labrador: -4.2k
British Columbia: -29.6k
Quebec: -37.1k
"Canada & Barbados share 'dynamic trade"? 😂 Our bilateral trade is ~$70M/year — peanuts. Yet Carney praising a notorious tax haven where Brookfield parks structures to minimize taxes. Focus on fixing Canada's economy instead of virtue-signaling with offshore buddies.@MarkJCarney

@johnwtomkinson@JackDan110 Lots of money missing so are people going to take the word of a scammer that equals caviar Carney or say that they have had enough of being raped and pillaged by these liberals? Vote independence!
Yes, I noticed that Thomas Lukaszuk’s little road trip adventure isn’t registered with Elections Alberta as a third-party advertiser. Where’s the money, Tommy?
Also, anybody else notice how his van looks like a blood donor clinic?
Some could say that equalization wealth transfers are blood sucking.
One of the cornerstones of conservatism is small government, and fiscal responsibility.
The fact that Smith has been unable to control either, is one of the things that really pisses me off about her leadership.
This is my property tax bill for the last 17 years. The orange line is the school tax component of my bill, and it's gone up dramatically in the last 2 years. Meanwhile my county has done a great job of keeping annual spending under control.
Danielle Smith herself told us why. Immigration into Alberta is out-of-control, and we have to build a lot of new schools to keep up.
Immigration is a burden on all of us. Why do we have to build new schools for all the new arrivals?
The mayor of Calgary (below) and those of every municipality in Alberta have every right to be upset. Smith is passing on big tax increases on their backs. They're the ones taking the heat for her excessive spending.
