Oriire children has been abducted for 26 days now, slowly creeping into a month...
I genuinely hope people don't move on, always have them in mind and lend a voice, till their release.
I was filling a form for a program recently and I indicated that I had a disability, listing Lupus, fibromyalgia and another chronic pain disorder.
Yes, you read right, a chronic illness is actually an invisible disability.
Anyways, do you know what happened next? They reached out to me days later asking me to list things I’d need to be able to actively participate in the program. After I did, I was informed that reasonable accommodations like extended deadlines would be made for me incase I fall ill and can’t meet up. I was even told that if I wasn’t sure I could be available for early mornings, they’d move my schedule to accommodate my needs.
That is the world we should all be advocating for. A world where you don’t lag behind just because you have a disability. Not “God forbid-ing.”
This has happened to me twice this week.
My distance to empty didn’t increase at all and the first time, the attendant gaslighted me that it was 5k I bought and it was too small.
Second time, different fuel station, different car, higher amount and distance to empty was same.
Lmao!
You go dey look pump, the meter go start to read from 0-the amount wey you want, your guage still fit no rise and you no go fit argue cos na your front I sell ham,but a large amount of the fuel has gone back into the pit as “excess”, after everything…the manager go replace the board wey dey inside the pump, sell the “excess” out, that’s his own profit…and I’m talking thousands of liters😂
Our language around governance is so interesting in Nigeria. We talk like when someone wins an election, the money and resources of the state become their personal largesse and any progress or work that happens is because they’re kind enough to “dash” us.
We all are bashing Ojude Oba for happening (I don’t disagree)
But here you lots go, partying two hours away from where the kids were taken.
The other day it was partying with ST
You ravers are insufferable.

Its only when celebrities have fun that you guys remember some kids are in the bush, everyone is going about their daily activities, but you guys act like celebrities are custodian of the nation
Grim mood around Ogbomoso with points of caution everywhere. The first 24 hours in such situation is so important to at least put helicopters around the perimeter and then try a swarm of low-noise thermal drones at the first night which can detect human movement at night. A very local police station in the US has this basic tool to scan forested areas. I have seen it in action.
There's just mediocrity that permeates government; the kind of mediocrity that doesn't have foresight. A few months ago, some park rangers were attacked and there's a clear modus operandi of terrorists using vast forest area as cover.
So why can't we have a thinking government to understand that the Old Oyo National Park periphery needs extra attention? It's just unfortunate that poor souls will suffer the consequences of poor governance. The South West has now been infiltrated with evil people, with path dependency theories, it would take a lot of deliberate leadership to stem terrorism. Look at how many years, yet Borno has not found relief. This requires emergency measures. This is too sad and unfortunate.

Seeing the video of the abducted students and teachers is the most painful thing you'd see on the internet today.
The scars, Tears, the heartbreak and chills their voices send as they talk.
Government and stakeholders, we demand justice.
No one should be treated that way.
Just take a look at her eyes and her neck, it speaks volumes of hunger and suffering.
I’m wondering why the NUT has not started massive close down of schools and protests.
Everyone is moving like things are normal. This is not how things work in a sane society.
