Solomon buchi said his wife is not the finest woman in the world.
Women:
"He doesn't love her."
"Why will you say that about your wife?"
"Your wife should be the finest woman in the world in your eyes."
Temi otedola says she's not a looks person while still crushing on Michael B. Jordan
Women:
"It's not that deep"
"Do you want her to lie?"
"Everybody has a celebrity crush"

I genuinely believed I was about to collect ₦5 million for a job well done... instead, I almost paid ₦500,000 for the biggest mistake of my life.
When I first moved to Abuja, people kept saying rich older women were everywhere looking for young guys to spend lavishly on and "Touch up"... So I believed every word.
Anytime I saw an elegant woman driving a big SUV, or any Luxurious cars, I always became the most helpful gentleman in town. I pushed shopping trolleys, opened doors, smiled like my destiny depended on it. Nothing happened.
Then one Friday evening, it finally happened.
I was having a drink alone when a beautiful woman in her late 40s bought me a bottle and invited me to her table. We talked for hours. She said she was divorced, had no kids, lived alone, and before I knew it, we were at her apartment.
My mind was already calculating the soft life ahead. I told myself this was the beginning of my su gar mummy era, so it was all work till dawn...
Then the unimaginable happened!
1. Disrespect.
2. Not admitting when you're wrong and apologizing when you should.
3. Poor hygiene.
4. Being terrible in bed and refusing to learn or improve.
5. Not knowing how to cook or enjoying cooking.
In all this “Olodo uprising” conversation, I’ve realized my theory has been right all along.
Yes, olodo may literally mean “dumb” or “unintelligent,” but I honestly don’t think that’s what Ycee meant.
In today’s society, olodo has evolved to mean consciously stupid. That’s the real issue, and that’s exactly what the person Ycee mentioned seems to embody. Most times, it’s not even people’s fault for being naturally dull or unintelligent. Sometimes life is just unfair like that. But stupidity is different.
Stupidity takes effort. It takes a conscious decision to ignore sense, reject reasoning, and proudly display nonsense. That’s what a lot of these celebrities and influencers represent. Not a lack of intelligence, but a celebration of avoidable stupidity.
And the funniest part is the fans. Because if you keep platforming, defending, and worshipping people whose entire brand is acting foolish, then honestly, you’re operating on an even lower level than the people you’re defending.
I don’t like the direction this argument is going. You don’t need to go to school or graduate to be intelligent. We have an abundance of Olodo graduates as well.
You have to be deliberate about developing your critical thinking capacity. Formal education simply offers the easiest path to that goal.

We are a country where someone posts something, something that might genuinely be useful, and the first replies are, “Ain’t reading allat,” “Sorry for your loss though,” and every other variation of fashionable stupidity. I find that deeply unsettling because if you cannot read, how do you think? How does your mind travel? How do you sit with an idea long enough for it to change you?
It explains why we have become a people of the now. We want quick money, quick fame, quick answers and quick outrage. We sell our votes because tomorrow demands too much imagination. We pin our hopes on Sporty and/or Fraud because we have convinced ourselves that one lucky ticket/CL will accomplish what years of thought, discipline and labour could not. We want to arrive at the destination without the journey, the reward without the process, the standing ovation without the becoming.
Every society is ultimately a reflection of what it rewards. Ours has gradually rewarded immediacy over thought. That is why dancing videos trend here. That is why obscenity has become the order of the day. There is a thin line between comic relief and stupidity, and I suspect most Nigerians no longer know where one ends and the other begins. Once you are sufficiently outrageous, sufficiently unserious, success is almost guaranteed.
And get this: once a people lose their appetite for thinking, they become remarkably easy to entertain, remarkably easy to deceive and remarkably easy to govern.
You people calling Ycee a failed artist just dey make me laugh 😂😭
He’s not a failed artist. If you watch the end of the video, he clearly said, “It’s just going to be sustainable for a period of time.”
What he means is that in the entertainment industry, everyone has their season. When your time comes, maximize it, make your money, and secure your future—just like he said, “pack your coins.”
Not every artist will remain at the top forever, but that doesn’t make them failures. It simply means they understood their moment and made the most of it.
Olodo uprising is such a comforting word to use to describe the menace we are in.
I was in JSS 2 when I got the real shock of my life. Tell me why many students were spreading rumors that we lost our head girl, when babe wrote “The reading culture amongst students is dead”? …
