A genuine concern about #Jailer2.

#AlaBolelo has been out for around 16 hrs now, and honestly, the response and momentum so far feel underwhelming for a film of this magnitude.

There could be several reasons.

We’ve been seeing a similar template repeatedly #Kaavaalaa, #Manasilaayo, #Monica etc. What we’re genuinely missing is a proper Thalaivar mass anthem like Marana Mass from #Petta or Chumma Kizhi from #Darbar.

Even if the intention is to deliver another dance number, the presentation has to be on another level.

Look at Kaavaalaa. The promo itself created tremendous curiosity, the promo video had another promo, the song had a distinct visual identity, the choreography worked, #Anirudh and #Tamannah nailed it to the fullest and the entire presentation felt fresh. That excitement translated directly into the song’s massive opening.

But with AlaBolelo, the choreography doesn’t feel as impactful, several steps don’t appear completely in sync, the song is shot in a relatively dim setting, and there wasn’t even a dedicated promo video like Nelson’s trademark to build anticipation.

For Jailer 2, which is expected to be bigger than its predecessor in every aspect, the casting, locations, choreography, cinematography, music and overall presentation of every single song should feel BIGGER THAN #JAILER.

Even #Coolie managed to create huge initial momentum with its singles.

This isn’t criticism for the sake of criticism. It’s a genuine concern from a fan who wants Jailer 2 to reach the level of hype and madness that Jailer created.

The film still has plenty of time to build momentum. I sincerely hope the upcoming songs are absolute bangers with extraordinary visuals and presentation.

Jailer 2 deserves nothing less than MASSIVE. 🔥
