• He was not a priest: Francis was ordained a deacon, but never became a priest. He founded the Order of Friars Minor - the Franciscans.

My cousin should still be alive💔🕊️😔
He was in the middle of moving into his new apartment. He had just dropped his dad home. His dad wanted to help him, but respected that his son was grown & didn’t want to disturb him. His father’s spirit felt uneasy as he watched him leave…
Life of St. Padre Pio of Pietrelcina
St. Pio of Pietrelcina, known as Padre Pio, was born Francesco Forgione on May 25, 1887, in Pietrelcina, Italy. At 15, he joined the Capuchin Franciscans and was ordained a priest in 1910.
Padre Pio became famous for his stigmata, the wounds of Christ, which he bore for fifty years. His Masses, confessions, and spiritual counsel drew thousands, and his humility and prayer touched countless souls.
During World War II, Padre Pio was regarded as a protector of his region. Allied pilots reported that while attempting to bomb San Giovanni Rotondo, they saw a mysterious figure of a friar in the sky who prevented them from dropping bombs. The town remained unharmed, and many attributed this miraculous intervention to Padre Pio’s prayers.
Among the numerous miracles attributed to him was the healing of a little girl named Gemma di Giorgi, who was born blind without pupils. After meeting Padre Pio and receiving his blessing, Gemma gained her sight, something that still puzzles medical science, as her eyes remained without pupils yet functioned normally.
Padre Pio also founded the “House for the Relief of Suffering”, a hospital providing both medical treatment and spiritual comfort. Despite many trials and investigations, he remained obedient to the Church.
He died on September 23, 1968, and was canonised by Pope John Paul II in 2002. Today, he is venerated worldwide as a saint of prayer, healing, and intercession, remembered for his words:
“Pray, hope, and don’t worry.”

Let us say this prayer of St. Padre Pio:
Stay with me, Lord, for it is necessary to have You present so that I do not forget You. You know how easily I abandon You.
Stay with me, Lord, because I am weak and I need Your strength, that I may not fall so often.
Stay with me, Lord, for You are my light, and without You I am in darkness.
Stay with me, Lord, to show me Your will.
Stay with me, Lord, so that I hear Your voice and follow You.
Stay with me, Lord, for I desire to love You very much and always be in Your company.
Stay with me, Lord, if You wish me to be faithful to You.
Stay with me, Lord, for as poor as my soul is, I want it to be a place of consolation for You, a nest of love.
Stay with me, Jesus, for it is getting late and the day is coming to a close. Life passes, death, judgment, and eternity approach. I fear the darkness, the temptations, the dryness, the cross, the sorrows. How I need You, my Jesus, in this night of exile.
Let me recognize You as Your disciples did at the breaking of the bread, so that Eucharistic Communion may be the light that disperses the darkness, the strength that sustains me, and the unique joy of my heart.
Stay with me, Lord, for it is You alone I seek: Your love, Your grace, Your will, Your Heart, Your Spirit. I love You and ask no other reward than to love You more and more.

Have you ever thought about praying the Rosary specifically for the purification of your memory?
In Catholic thought, the memory is one of the faculties of the soul, alongside the intellect and the will. To purify the memory is to surrender painful recollections, regrets, intrusive thoughts, and unhealthy attachments to Christ, asking Him to free us from their power.
At the beginning of your Rosary, you can simply pray:
“Lord, I offer this Rosary for the purification of my memory.
Take every painful recollection, every regret, and every unholy image, and wash them in Your grace.”
You can also bring this intention into each mystery:
• Agony in the Garden: memories of anxiety and fear
• Scourging at the Pillar: memories of suffering and shame
• Crowning with Thorns: impure or troubling thoughts
• Resurrection: renewal, hope, and new life
Or add a simple clause to the Hail Mary:“…and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus, who purifies my memory.”
Mary, Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.
Tonight, take the rosary out of the drawer and put it in bed with you—not on the nightstand, and not back in the drawer. Keep it right in the bed with you! Before you close your eyes, say this:
"Jesus, I sleep under your protection tonight. Mary, keep your rosary in my hand and your Son's name in my mind. If anything comes that is not from God, let it leave at the name of Jesus. Amen."
And if you ever wake up and cannot move, you do not need your voice. Say in your mind:
Jesus. 👇🏻
