Thailand’s actions constitute a grave violation of international humanitarian law and fundamental human rights. The alleged incursions into Cambodian territory have targeted civilian areas, resulting in casualties, and the destruction of homes, ancient temples, and schools.

These barbaric and inhumane acts have spread across nearly all border points, magnifying the suffering of innocent Cambodians and forcing many to flee their communities in search of safety.

The Cambodian people strongly condemn this brutal aggression. We call upon the international community to denounce Thailand’s actions and to actively support diplomatic dialogue and negotiations aimed at restoring stability. This urgent effort should be aligned with the existing ceasefire agreement and the Joint Declaration for Peace, presided over by the President of the United States and the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

កម្ពុជាអំពាវនាវឱ្យថៃបញ្ឈប់រាល់អរិភាពជាបន្ទាន់ ដោយដកកម្លាំងចេញពីដែនអធិបតេយ្យរបស់កម្ពុជា និងចៀសវាងសកម្មភាពឈ្លានពានដែលគំរាមកំហែងដល់សន្តិភាព និងស្ថិរភាពនៅក្នុងតំបន់។ ទន្ទឹមនឹងនេះ កម្ពុជាអំពាវនាវឱ្យភាគីថៃ ងាកមកគោរពកិច្ចព្រមព្រៀមបទឈប់បាញ់ សេចក្តីថ្លែងការណ៍រួមស្តីពីកិច្ចព្រមព្រៀងសន្តិភាព និងកាតព្វកិច្ចទាំងឡាយនៅក្រោមច្បាប់អន្តរជាតិឱ្យបានម៉ឺងម៉ាត់ ស្មោះត្រង់ និងដោយសុច្ឆន្ទៈពិតប្រាកដ។

The Thai armed aggression has caused serious damage. As of December 10, 2025, the toll includes 9 civilian fatalities (including one infant) and 46 civilian injuries.

In this sense, Cambodia calls on the international community to strongly condemn Thailand's violations of the Joint Declaration and its repeated war crime and unlawful activities, as well as demands that Thailand take full responsibility for such brazen violations.

Cambodia urges that Thailand immediately stop all hostile activities and withdraw its forces from Cambodia's territorial integrity, and avoid acts of aggression that threaten peace and stability in the region. At the same time, we call on the Thai side to firmly honour the Ceasefire Agreement, the Joint Declaration, as well as the obligations under international law with sincerity, in good faith and goodwill.

This is a heartfelt outcry from Major General Chan Sopheaktra, addressing foreign military attachés after 20 of his soldiers were detained by the Thai military using deceitful tactics.
Among the 20 Cambodian soldiers captured by the Thai military, one managed to escape, and two others are suspected to have been shot dead by the Thais.
