I think Jean grey unlocked both their old memories. We saw MJ crying while frozen. Later she was on the roof holding the black dahlia necklace which was a gift from Peter and smiling. When Jean possessed Bruce what did we get? Savage hulk, not Professor Hulk and he remembered Peter too. So I think Jean grey must have helped mj get her memory back.

Odyssey is one of the finest works ever by Nolan, and it is by far the best movie that has come out this year. The sheer amount of intensity and immersion it created within its audience stayed with them, aided by visual and sound effects that were nothing short of a spectacle. The conviction to build the narrative in a way that it captures not only the story but also its underlying philosophies, which were subtle yet explicit, should be a point of discussion that proves how good of a director Nolan is. The clarity and the leap of faith to balance the logical tropes and the mysticism on an adaptation from a mythological scripture where the usual treatment has always been different was refreshing but can create polarizing opinions with those who are aware of the scripture questioning the realism and the unaware questioning the mysticism (which can be considered a win).
Overall it guarantees a fulfillment of watching a spectacle that is grand in both visuals and storytelling.
