cringey when writers get the grammar wrong.
e.g. "Ryujinie is amazing," says Yeji, proudly telling her friend about Ryujin.
versus
"Ryujin-ah, you're amazing," says Yeji, directly to Ryujin.
psa for kpop fic writers: i know it's fun to use korean name endings (?) in writing, like saying ryujin-ah or chaeryeongie, but plz know that adding "-ah" or "ya" to the end of a name implicates that the speaker is directly addressing the person whose name is being spoken+
+ and conversely, adding "-ie" to the end of a name indicates that the speaker is simply referring to the person whose name is being spoken , but not addressing that person directly.
this is important !! bc honestly as someone who speaks korean, it's funny but also a little+
psa that ao3 isn't a social media site where you repeatedly change the posting date to bump a complete fic to the top of the list* 💀 it's bad fandom etiquette and will get you muted by other users.
