Farida Nabourema explains how Africa is leading the world in Bitcoin adoption:
"Currencies have depreciated by even more than 200%... People end up losing their savings because the value of their currency keeps going down. So they use Bitcoin as an alternative to protect their money from the continuous depreciation of their national currency."
"More than $17 billion are lost in remittance fees in Africa every year... In Africa, it can go as high as 16%. So Bitcoin allows people to keep more value for their money when they are trading across countries because our banking systems are built on a colonial model, and it's a very opaque model and a very costly one."
JOE CARLASARE: "If you had a banking system that was built on the back of Bitcoin as opposed to sovereign debt, I think the world would be a much better place. There would be a lot more of a disincentive to do the types of malinvestment and too-big-to-fail public policies that we have."
"You can't just make a ton of risky bets then get bailed out with payments and bonuses and have no repercussions for your negative decision-making or bad decision-making... That Bitcoin that had a run on it is gone. You're not going to be able to bail that person out."
OCEAN Co-founder Mark Artymko explains how the mining pool can grow larger without centralizing Bitcoin:
“We want to be a much larger percentage of the mining network, and that's a good thing, not a bad thing, for Bitcoin. Because the larger we get as a company, as a pool, the more decentralized it gets.”
"When you look at the pie chart, we don't need to be the whole pie but the whole pie needs to be made up of miners who are making their own block templates."
OCEAN Co-founder Mark Artymko explains how Bitcoin could remain decentralized even if the mining pool had 51% of the network’s hash rate:
“If every miner on the planet basically used a technology like DATUM or like Stratum v2 to make their own templates, essentially, it would become censorship-resistant and it would be basically protected from centralization attacks.”
“We wouldn't have a 51% attack risk on the network because we don't actually control what goes in your blocks. If you're a miner, you run your own node, peer directly to the network, build your own local mempool, and choose whatever transactions you want.”
If you want people to understand Bitcoin, you have to start with yourself.
Why should they listen to you if you’re not being a good example?
Be the change.
ERIC YAKES: “We’ll look back on this period as being pretty historic in terms as an inflection point in Bitcoin.”
“2026 in hindsight will be the year that we view Bitcoin as decoupling from equities and broader risk assets and being viewed more as a debasement trade or countercyclical hedge.”
Arthur Hayes says, "the clarity act is a terrible thing" for Bitcoin:
"Bitcoin didn't need the clarity act from 2009 until the present, it doesn't need it to the future.
"What does it need?... Buffalo Bill Bessent trying to save the US treasury market by upping his buybacks overnight, or trying to print money using the Fed to help the Japanese swap their treasuries for cash."

🇺🇸 TREASURY SECRETARY SCOTT BESSENT:
"We are launching an economic onslaught against Iran's financial connections around the globe. Our objective is to sever every economic lifeline."
"Any entity that facilitates money laundering on behalf of Iran will be removed from the U.S. dollar system. The clock just started ticking."
"The new sectoral sanctions determinations issued today target five of Iran's most vital lifelines that it exploits in other countries. Digital assets, technology, gold, aviation, and shipping."
"If people do not want to meet our expectations, then we expect – and they should expect – that they will leave the dollar system."
Jonathan Goodman had lost more than 18 Bitcoin from the Coldcard vulnerability.
He was asked what he would say to the Coldcard founder if he was sitting across from him:
Dr. Thomas Kaplan explains how governments can still confiscate gold.
“Put yourself into the shoes of the country that is watching you mint money.”
“If you really believe that they’re not going to change the rules of the game, you’re wrong!!!”
