Et ait Maria : Magnificat anima mea Dominum : et exsultavit spiritus meus in Deo salutari meo. Quia respexit humilitatem ancillae suae : ecce enim ex hoc beatam me dicent omnes generationes, quia fecit mihi magna qui potens est : et sanctum nomen ejus, et misericordia ejus a progenie in progenies timentibus eum.
@JesusSaves1500 read two English words as if they were a timeline. They are not.
“Till” does not mean “and then he did.”
The Greek is ἕως οὗ, the Latin donec. In Scripture that marks a term. It does not say what happened after the term. Michal “had no child until the day of her death” (2 Kings 6:23). She did not start bearing after she died. Our Lord says He is with the Church “until the consummation of the world” (Matthew 28:20). He does not leave on the last day. Matthew 1:25 tells you Joseph was not the father. It is silent about the years after Bethlehem.
“Firstborn” is a title, not a headcount.
πρωτότοκος / primogénitus is the child who opens the womb, the one under the Law who is holy to the Lord (Exodus 13). Luke calls Him firstborn at the birth itself (Luke 2:7), before any later child could exist. An only son is still the firstborn. The word does not smuggle in James and Joses.
The verse is doing one job.
It guards the virginal conception. Joseph did not know her before she brought forth the Son. That is the point St. Matthew is making against the charge that Jesus was Joseph’s child.
You’ll get no argument on the coverups from me. Personally, I think priests guilty of sins against nature and/or the flesh, should be severely and publicly punished. In many cause, capital punishment is warranted.
IMO, this is Fruit of the Second Vatican Council and the modernists it ushered in.
In the United States the John Jay numbers are blunt. Reported abuse of minors by priests climbs from the mid-1960s, peaks in the 1970s (onset around 1970; more acts in that decade than any other). The worst ordination cohorts are men made priests from about 1950 to 1979, especially the 1960s and early 1970s.
Vatican II closed in December 1965. The John Jay curve starts climbing in the mid-1960s, peaks in the 1970s, and the men who did the most damage were ordained in the years around and after the council. That is not a coincidence of the calendar only. What broke in those years was formation and command: seminaries went slack, thousands of priests left, the ones who stayed were often a different breed, and bishops learned to treat a file as a personnel problem instead of a crime.
The sexual revolution hit the same years as a collapse in discipline. A 1961 Vatican instruction still barred men with homosexual or pederastic tendencies from vows and orders. That screen failed or was ignored. By the late 1960s–70s you get the “lavender” seminary culture people who lived through it described: active subcultures, weak rectors, bishops who transferred instead of degraded.
The Epistle of St. Paul the Apostle to the Romans 13:4
For he is God's minister to thee, for good. But if thou do that which is evil, fear: for he beareth not the sword in vain. For he is God's minister: an avenger to execute wrath upon him that doth evil.
The Book of Genesis 9:6
Quicúmque effúderit humánum sánguinem, fundétur sanguis illíus: ad imáginem quippe Dei factus est homo.
Whosoever shall shed man's blood, his blood shall be shed: for man was made to the image of God.

Again, this prohibition does not apply to the civil magistrate, to whom is intrusted power of life and death, by the legal and judicious exercise of which he punishes the guilty and protects the innocent. The use of the civil sword, when wielded by the hand of justice, far from involving the crime of murder, is an act of paramount obedience to this commandment which prohibits murder. The end of the commandment is the preservation and security of human life, and to the attainment of this end the punishments inflicted by the civil magistrate, who is the legitimate avenger of crime, naturally tend, giving security to life by repressing outrage and violence.
@ChristopherHale Abortion IS CHILD SACRIFICE!
There is NO difference at all between sacrificing a child to Molech or Baal and in modern day abortion. The death penalty is entirely different.
Great question. Answer: Because the Evil One fears The One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church of which “the gates of hell shall not prevail”. Therefore, She (and her faithful) are under constant demonic attack.
There is never a need to attack something they has no power to hurt you. But, one always attacks that which can destroy you.
As one deepens in the faith, demonic influence/attacks/temptations increase. This is well documented in accounts of The Saints, Early Church Fathers, and even modern day laity.
The Gospel According to St. Matthew 16:18
And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

🙏📿 But my intentions will remain;
That Christ’s Vicar may guide the faithful in unity back to the founding Traditions of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church and away from the modernists values leading them to perpetual, mortal sin.
That our demonically influenced Clergy might be exercised and turn back to Christ to do His will.
For the Conversion of all non-Catholics away from their false religions.
And that all faithful Catholics may be of one mind. Fixing their eyes on that which is above and away from the things upon this earth that we might do His will to hasten the return of His kingdom.

Kudos to @okredprecincts for sharing this information on judges in Oklahoma up for retention. This is just a portion of the information she has.
The Book of Genesis 3:14-16
And the Lord God said to the serpent: Because thou hast done this thing, thou art cursed among all cattle, and beasts of the earth: upon thy breast shalt thou go, and earth shalt thou eat all the days of thy life. I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed: she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel. To the woman also he said: I will multiply thy sorrows, and thy conceptions: in sorrow shalt thou bring forth children, and thou shalt be under thy husband's power, and he shall have dominion over thee.
The judge ordered that their hard-passes must be restored. It was not order that they be allowed entry to every event. Space is limited the SS and the admin control whom is allowed entry. This is quite distinct from the TRO.
CNN’s days are numbered anyway. In a few weeks, after the merger, many of their lying, deceitful, dishonest, and disgusting hosts will be kicked to the curb (and hopefully the dustbin of history). If I was a gambler, my bet would be Erin Burnett, Brianna Keilar, and Katlin Collins will be the first to shown the door.

The Lord hath looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there be any that understand and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are become unprofitable together: there is none that doth good, no not one.
