Vanposting day 8: Kilmat on another door and some of the passenger foot area. Hoping this will be faster on the floor since less cutting and shaping. Also got another new toy i cant afford
Vanposting day 7: mostly just research. For insulation I’m going to do wool. It has the best thermal, moisture and sound properties, plus it’s basically the only natural option. It’s the most expensive but I’ve already spent so much that the % difference is pretty small. boy math
vanposting day 5
Exterior detailing, mainly to decrease sussiness so it’s easier to park without risk of getting towed.
it looks bad and good simultaneously
vanposting day 4: used a broom to get all the dust off the van, got rust treatment and caulk, fixed up a few spots. Drove around the block since I had been parked >72 hours, in those 2 minutes someone took my spot so I proceeded to spend an hour searching, parked a mile away 🤡
Past 2 years I’ve been in LA, there’s been all these signs about “safe and sane” fireworks. Then the 4th comes and NOBODY obeys, NOTHING is safe or sane, and it’s a complete war zone. Makes me so happy 🙂↕️🎇 happy 4th everyone
vanposting until I end my apartment lease day 3
Pulled seats and most of the carpet/bottom trim in front. so many random wires that don’t matter, the original builders did NOT know how to delete the part
Installed new driver seat, doesn’t matter for cleaning if it’s screwed in
vanposting until my sussy van isn’t sussy day 2
Went to the junkyard, got two seats. Will post pics once they’re clean and installed
Also got door panels. Crucially they’re all plastic which means I can clean them
Kilmat sound dampening pads on rear doors
unscrewed more stuff
