I have been migrating reports in @DebitCreditApp to Swift Charts for the last few months. I have to say, Swift Charts is surprisingly feature rich considering that it is a new framework. 👍
It is not a secret how bad system settings are in Ventura, however, this progress bar is really wrong. 654MB out of 11.84GB is around 5%. This progress bar is at about 25%.
Finally upgraded my office iMac 5K to M1 iMac. I have been waiting for a big Apple Silicon desktop but apparently it is not coming anytime soon. Feels weird to go to a smaller 24” screen size but the average source code compile time is now twice faster.
It is really sad to me that Apple needs to start taking Casino Game Ad Money in order to make their line go up for the shareholders. When Steve introduced iAds and the whole pitch was, "These ads aren't garbage, you'll like these ads." This department shouldn't exist at all, imho
The new iCloud shared photo library is just amazing. I missed it so much but now I am a happy person 😎 It would be even better to invite participants with the read-only access (for kids and grandparents) but it is a minor thing. Big hugs to the iCloud and Photos teams.
What was your experience with Apple Wallet orders so far? I had one that got imported but Shopify did not update it further at all. Also instead of providing a carrier tracking link they provided a link to their own app. I wonder if Apple will be happy with this partnership.
Do not install the latest watchOS 9.1 beta. This is how my watch screen looks like now and I can’t fix it. Rebooting does not help. Still can press the crown to use apps so it is a problem with the watch face.
Paste permissions in iOS 16 are a huge step back. Poorly executed, no way to assign permanent permissions and asks for a permission even when a user intent is clear. https://t.co/CCHwLJYWR1
@caseyliss I am really sorry to hear that. It is one of the worst parts of being an Apple developer - when you get a rejection and communication from Apple is really bad. I hope that they will respond and explain in a day or two.
I am SO happy about this quality-of-life improvement in Safari 16: The ability to manually edit an auto-generated strong password to meet a website's password requirements.
@marcoarment I guess as long as there were no devices dropped by Apple between iOS versions, we should be fine as well as developers.
Things are more complicated with multiplatform apps. Mac users are slower to upgrade and you can’t drop support for old SDKs in your project for all platforms
